We designed a seasonal market hall for Bed Stuy Brooklyn called Santa's Hollow. The name comes from the way that the structure's cruciform plan creates the opportunity to locate a Santa photo booth in the middle of three other activities, such as retail vendors.

This project was developed as part of the Neighborhoods Now initiative led by Urban Design Forum and Van Alen Institute to lift up the vitality of local communities.

The entire structure is designed to be installed and removed on a seasonal basis

The entire structure is designed to be disassembled, stored, and re-installed on a seasonal basis. Due to its location being a plaza that features tile artwork on the ground, the structure makes no connection to the ground and instead is secured using dead weight.
